Overview
Life is give and take, unless you’re a parasite. Biological processes are expensive, and parasites know how to cut the costs by claiming a warm, wet home inside someone else. Let me be your tour guide around the world of wriggly worms and pesky protozoa and how they have shaped our biology and society.

Dr Erin Pallott
Erin has always had an interest in all things gross science. After a childhood of digging for bugs and begging to stay up late to watch grisly medical shows, she was eventually led to a PhD in immunology. During her 4 years of researching mucus responses against parasites, she became heavily involved in bringing science to the public, uncovering a true passion for bringing mucus to the masses. Erin now works as a Science Communication Officer at The University of Manchester, helping researchers improve their communication skills and get ideas for how to make their research fun.
